Task Execution: Interfacing to Reactive Skill Networks
نویسندگان
چکیده
We describe an implemented two layer architecture for real-time task execution in physical agents. The system integrates the RAP system with a set of dynamically configurable reactive processes called skills. Thus the notion of a primitive action is replaced by the selection of a set of skills that interact directly with each other and with the world to form a reactive agent. Using this approach, interpretation of sensory information becomes highly context dependent. For example, a short reading on a forward sensor might be a threat to be avoided or it may be the ticket counter being approached. To address this issue the RAP system has been augmented to allow RAPs at all levels to modify memory. This modification allows sensory information to be interpreted at the appropriate level of abstraction. We have implemented this system and used to control a robot navigating the halls at MITRE. 97 From: AAAI Technical Report SS-95-02. Compilation copyright © 1995, AAAI (www.aaai.org). An Effective Task Scheduling Framework for Cloud Computing using NSGA-II
Cloud computing is a model for convenient on-demand user’s access to changeable and configurable computing resources such as networks, servers, storage, applications, and services with minimal management of resources and service provider interaction. Task scheduling is regarded as a fundamental issue in cloud computing which aims at distributing the load on the different resources of a distribu...
متن کاملThe Effect of Attention on Quiet Eye Behavior and Accuracy of Execution on a Targeting Task
The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of focusing attention on quiet eye behavior and accuracy of execution on dart throwing skills. For this purpose, 20 male students in dart beginner (age range 19-22 years old) were voluntarily selected. All participants performed external and internal attention instructions in a counterbalanced manner. Thus, Participants first made 10 attempt...

متن کاملA hybrid GRASP algorithm for minimizing total weighted resource tardiness penalty costs in scheduling of project networks
In this paper, we consider scheduling of project networks under minimization of total weighted resource tardiness penalty costs. In this problem, we assume constrained resources are renewable and limited to very costly machines and tools which are also used in other projects and are not accessible in all periods of time of a project. In other words, there is a dictated ready date as well as a d...
متن کاملHaste does not always make waste: expertise, direction of attention, and speed versus accuracy in performing sensorimotor skills.
In two experiments, we examined the attentional mechanisms governing sensorimotor skill execution across levels of expertise. In Experiment 1, novice and expert golfers took a series of putts under dual-task conditions designed to distract attention from putting and under skill-focused conditions that prompted attention to step-by-step performance. Novices performed better under skill-focused t...
